Event update

This event has been postponed.

The Saturday, August 8 bottling session will not take place as planned. We are choosing a new date now and will post it here as soon as it is set — everything else about the day stays the same: three bottles of the 2024 Cabernet Franc, a glass of wine, charcuterie, and the commemorative label.

Already have seats? They are safe and we will contact you directly about the new date. Questions in the meantime — call the tasting room at (530) 464-8006 or email info@mortonwine.com.

How It Works

Four steps, three bottles, one hour.

No experience needed — we start at 12:30 with a glass of wine and a small charcuterie plate while we walk through how the wine was made from vine to barrel. Then the bottling begins.

01

Rinse & Sanitize

A clean start

Every good bottle starts spotless — rinse and sanitize your three so the wine lands in a perfect home.

02

Fill & Argon

Straight from the cellar

Fill each bottle with the 2024 Cabernet Franc, then cap the wine with a layer of argon to keep oxygen off it until the cork lands.

03

Cork & Label

One press of a button

The pneumatic corker seats a real cork at the press of a button — the most satisfying thunk in winemaking — then finish each bottle with the commemorative label so it looks the part.

04

Take It Home

Three bottles, yours

All three bottles leave with you — wine you bottled yourself, with a story attached to every pour.

The Wine · From the Vines
In the bottle — your bottle: 2024 Cabernet Franc Estate fruit, hand-harvested at 3,200 feet.

Cabernet Franc is one of the five varieties growing at Biama Vineyard, right beside the tasting room — hand-harvested, raised in our cellar, and now ready for glass. On the day, the last step of its journey is yours: you fill it, you cork it, you take it home.

Good to Know

Before you pull the cork.

What’s included in the $95?

Everything — the session, all three bottles of the 2024 Cabernet Franc with their commemorative labels, a glass of wine, a small charcuterie plate, and a short overview of how the wine was made, from vine to barrel.

How many bottles do I take home?

Three — each one of the 2024 Cabernet Franc, and each one filled, corked, and labeled by you during the session. All three are included in the $95 seat.

When should I arrive?

Right at 12:30 — we pour your glass, set out the charcuterie, and walk through how the wine was made, then get straight to the bottling.

How long does it take?

About an hour — 12:30 to 1:30 — with time left over on the patio after.

How many seats are there?

Ten, for the 12:30 session. If there’s more interest than seats, we’re open to adding a second session — mention it when you reserve.

Do I need any experience?

None at all. We walk you through every step, and each one is easier than it looks — the pneumatic corker does the hard part at the press of a button.

Is there an age requirement?

Yes — bottling and taking wine home is for the 21-and-over crowd. Bring your ID like you would to the tasting room.

Can I stay after?

Please do. The tasting room and patio pour until 4:30 — toast your handiwork before it even leaves the property.
