Effective October 7, 2026
Morton Family Cellars LLC (“Morton Family Cellars,” “we,” “us”) runs this website, mortonwine.com (the “Site”). This policy explains what the Site collects, why, and who receives it. It covers the Site only, not visits to our tasting room.
What you send us. Our contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject, and a message. You can also use it to join the wine club or ask about an event. If you email or call us, we receive what you send or tell us.
How the contact form is delivered. Web3Forms, a form service, delivers the contact form. It receives what you submit, plus your IP address and browser details, and emails it to us.
How you found us. The Site also loads a small script from our website provider, MortonApps LLC, whose host receives your IP address and browser details each time it loads. The script saves a note in your browser’s local storage (not a cookie) about how you first arrived. The note holds the first page you visited, the website that sent you (if any), and any campaign tags in the link you followed. It is ignored after 30 days and holds no visitor ID. It leaves your browser only in two cases:
MortonApps keeps both kinds of report in a record of inquiries from the Site that we can review.
Microsoft Clarity. We use Microsoft Clarity to see how visitors use the Site so we can improve it. Clarity records mouse movements, clicks, taps, scrolling, and the pages you view, and turns them into session recordings (replays of a visit) and heatmaps. It also collects your device type, browser, operating system, screen size, the website that referred you, and your approximate location from your IP address. Clarity uses cookies to recognize your browser across pages and visits. We mask the contact form in Clarity, so what you type into it is not recorded. Microsoft collects or receives this data as an independent company to provide Microsoft Advertising. It may use the data for its own purposes, including improving its products and building profiles for advertising, as the Microsoft Privacy Statement describes.
Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people view, how they arrived, and what device and browser they use. It uses cookies and estimates your approximate location from your IP address. Google explains its use of this data in How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Other Google content. The contact page shows an embedded Google Map, and the karaoke page shows YouTube videos. When they load, Google receives your IP address and browser details. The map and videos may also set Google cookies.
Hosting. Cloudflare hosts and delivers the Site. It processes your IP address, browser details, and the pages you request and when, to deliver the Site and block abuse. Your browser may also send Cloudflare automatic reports when a page fails to load.
Payments. We do not take payments on the Site. When we sell event tickets online, you pay on Square’s checkout page. Square handles your card details and sends us your order details, such as your name, contact details, and what you bought. Square’s privacy policy applies to that checkout.
We do not sell your personal information for money. Microsoft and Google may use what their tools collect for their own purposes, including advertising, as described above.
The Site uses cookies from Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics, and Google may set cookies when the map or a YouTube video loads. The note of how you found us is kept in local storage. When you send the contact form, the MortonApps script also keeps a copy of what you entered in your browser’s session storage until our thank-you page loads, or until you close the tab if it does not.
Microsoft and Google can collect information about your activity over time and across different websites, including when you use the Site.
The Site has no cookie banner. You can opt out yourself:
The Site works the same if you opt out. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal, the Site does not load Microsoft Clarity at all; those signals do not change anything else on the Site.
These providers receive information to run the Site and handle what you send us:

We also share information with advisers such as our accountant or attorney, who must keep it confidential. We share it when the law requires, to protect our rights, our guests, or the public, and as part of a sale or transfer of the winery. We will update this page when the list of providers changes.
We keep contact form messages, emails, and the record of inquiries for as long as they are useful for answering you and running the winery. There is no fixed deletion date. You can ask us to delete yours; copies already in backups are removed only as those backups expire. Microsoft, Google, and the other providers above keep their copies for the periods their own terms set.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing info@mortonwine.com or calling (530) 464-8006. We may need to confirm who you are first, and we may keep what the law requires us to keep.
Anyone can make these requests, including California residents, and we will not treat you differently for making one.
The Site is meant for adults, and we serve wine only to guests 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, but no website or internet connection is completely secure.
We may update this policy. When we do, we will post the new version here and change the effective date.
