Celebrations We Host

Morton Family Cellars opens its doors for the moments that matter: weddings — both ceremony and reception — rehearsal dinners, milestone birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, corporate events and team retreats, baby and bridal showers, retirement parties, and celebrations of life. Some gatherings want the open sky and vineyard rows; others want candlelight and low ceilings and a story to tell. We happen to have both.

Because we're family-run, you're not booking a banquet department. You're planning your day with the same people who prune the vines, pour the wine, and will genuinely care that your event goes well.

Two Spaces, Two Moods

Use one, use both — the patio and the speakeasy each bring something no rented hall can.

The Vineyard Patio

Open air beside Biama Vineyard at 3,200 feet, with the Sierra Foothills rolling out behind your guests' photos. Golden hour here does half your decorating for you. The Speakeasy

A genuine 1960s underground speakeasy — once an unlicensed pub with a secret door, unearthed in 2019 and meticulously restored. Dim lighting, vintage decor, and the kind of atmosphere event venues spend fortunes trying to fake. Every private event comes with the things we do best: our naturally made wines poured for your guests, the setting itself, and a family that treats your event like our own. We don't operate a kitchen, so outside food and caterers are welcome — bring in the taqueria you love or the caterer your family swears by.

We don't publish set pricing, and that's on purpose: a thirty-person shower and a full wedding weekend aren't the same event, and we'd rather quote your actual plans than pad a one-size-fits-all package. Tell us your date, your group size, and what you're celebrating, and we'll respond with real numbers.

Private Event Questions

What kinds of private events do you host?

Weddings (ceremony and reception), rehearsal dinners, birthdays, anniversaries, engagement parties, corporate events and team retreats, baby and bridal showers, retirement parties, and celebrations of life. If it brings people together, we're interested.

How many guests can the winery hold?

It depends on the event and how you want to use the patio and speakeasy. Rather than quote a number that may not fit your plans, tell us your group size and vision when you inquire and we'll talk honestly about whether the space works for it.

How much does it cost to host an event?

We don't publish set pricing because every event is different — size, season, spaces used, and wine service all factor in. Send an inquiry with your date and details and we'll put together a quote.

Can we bring our own food or caterer?

Yes. We don't operate a kitchen, so outside food and caterers are welcome — that's normal here even on regular tasting days. We'll handle the wine.
